Review Policy
The Book Lover Blog currently accepts review requests for the following genres:
Thriller (Psychological, Crime, Domestic)
Suspense
Mystery
Romance (Contemporary, Rom-Com, Suspense, New Adult)
Women's Fiction
Chick Lit
Cook-Books
I accept both physical paperback ARCs and eARCs for traditionally published work as well as self-published titles.
I am the sole reviewer for The Book Lover Blog. I aim to review in a timely manner, so please allow between 4-6 weeks for completion, unless otherwise discussed. If you require a review to be completed by a specific date, please indicate said date in your review request email.
Once I have read the book and finished my review, it will be posted on the blog along with a staged photo (taken by myself), the synopsis, purchase links and/or Goodreads link, and an overall star rating. I cross post my reviews to Goodreads, Amazon US & CA, and on occasion, my Instagram page.
It is my policy not to delay and/or withhold reviews no matter what the star rating may be. Reviews are written in my own opinion, and they are presented honestly and respectfully.
On occasion, I simply find I cannot connect with a story. If I feel as though I’ve given it a fair chance but come to the decision I cannot finish, I will mark the book as DNF and will not rate or review it on any retail sites or my blog. However, if I have finished at least 40% of the book I will post a few short sentences-on Goodreads- explaining my reasons for being unable to finish.
