Review:
Almost Perfect was an entertaining rom-com, one I enjoyed reading. I liked the not quite friends, not exactly enemies vibe between the two main characters, Alex and Hannah. Their story had a nice balance of funny, emotional, and romantic elements. The "frenemies" to lovers trope was a fun change up from strictly friends-to-lovers or enemies-to-lovers. I did think there were a few too many side characters within the story, that may not have been entirely necessary to drive the plot forward. I understand that if you are familiar with all of Claudia's most recent work you may recognize some of these characters, but it may be somewhat overwhelming or confusing to a new-to-the-author reader. It almost makes me iffy on the "standalone" statement when there are too many appearances by characters from previous works. Anyways, if you're a fan of the author or if you like heart warming romance with a little humor, check out Almost Perfect.
