Someday, Somehow is the latest rom-com from USA Today bestselling author, Claudia Burgoa. I enjoyed the fun and flirty atmosphere, and I loved that there was time spent building a strong and believable friendship between the main characters, but I felt the story was a little too dragged out; the romance a little too slow-burning. Georgia aka George friend-zoned Auggie almost immediately. From there we got to see how their friendship grew and changed over the span of twelve years. Obviously there was a point where their feelings became much more than friendly, but it took many years for them to finally take that leap and communicate those feelings. Once the romantic aspect came into play, the story almost felt rushed. There wasn't enough time spent with them together after all the build-up, so it wasn't completely satisfying. All in all, there were aspects of this novel that I found entirely entertaining but there were also some areas I felt could have used some fine-tuning. If you enjoy friends-to-lovers romantic comedies, Someday, Somehow might be worth checking out.
