Hailee Raine only has to survive one more year.
One year of life in her football obsessed town.
One year of nauseating school spirit.
Just one more year of her cruel step-brother Jason; and his cocky, arrogant, football-playing friends.
She hates them. Especially, Cameron Chase, the guy she thought was different.
Cameron Chase has the world at his feet.
He has it all; good looks, talent, and the charm to go with it.
He has colleges lined up at the door, all wanting a piece of Rixon Raiders star wide receiver.
Until something threatens everything he's ever worked for, and only one person can quiet the war raging inside him.
But he's supposed to hate her; his best friend's sister.
She's off-limits.
Untouchable.
She's trouble with a capital T.
Then Hailee finds herself in the middle of a football prank gone wrong...
And suddenly hating each other never felt so good.

M Y T H O U G H T S :
The Trouble with You is the first book in The Rixon Raiders series. This YA/NA read explored friendships, sex, love, rivalries, and football culture- the good and the bad. It was a steady paced, entertaining story from start to finish. Main characters Hailee and Cameron had that push and pull, back and forth dynamic. The enemies-to-lovers feel was in full force and it was executed perfectly. I really saw/felt the growth and change in their relationship. The spark between them could be felt whether they were arguing or having a level headed, real conversation. I rooted for their romance and felt a tinge of joy every time they softened a little toward the other. Alongside Hailee and Cameron were some necessary supportive characters. Jase, Asher, and Felicity added to the drama, tension, and angst. I know that there are going to be more books in this series, and the author was successful in making me care enough about these secondary characters to be interested in reading their own individual stories. There was just one part that really stuck out to me, that I felt needed more discussion. One of the "retaliation pranks" was more than a prank. It was a violation, and I felt this was something that warranted action and consequences, and should have been further addressed by the characters and perhaps by the author in a note at the end. I do hope that in the next book we'll see something in regards to this specific situation. I'll finish by saying that I rarely sign up to review NA/YA novels. At thirty I find it very hard to connect to teenage characters but the blurb for The Trouble with You interested me enough to give it a try. I'm glad I did give it that chance, because for the first time in a long time I found myself really engaged with a story involving teenage drama and angst! Sign me up for book two.
