Review (New Release): Remedy by Kaylee Ryan
Remedy, an all-new contemporary romance from Kaylee Ryan is available now.
Grady and Collins' story is a somewhat slow burning second chance/brother's best friend romance. It's sweet, engaging, and overall an entertaining read. Grady and Collins shared a night of passion three years ago, and she was left brokenhearted the next morning. Now, Grady is back with plans to win her heart and gain her trust, but she's skeptical and reluctant to let him get close. I liked that Ms. Ryan added some history and flashbacks of the characters' time together. This helped me to believe in their connection and to understand and accept the strength of their feelings in the present. I thought it was needed, and acceptable that Collins didn't forgive Grady right away; she made him really work to regain her trust. At the same time I did feel like there were some repetitive thoughts and dialogue when discussing her feelings and how he hurt her three years ago. That aside, Remedy was a cute and romantic read. It had minimal angst and drama, which is exactly what I was in the mood for. If you love the brother's best friend trope, check this one out!
