Review (New Release): Broken Love by Stacey Marie Brown

About the Book: Life shattered my body, now it wants to break my heart.

Jaymerson Holloway thought all her heartache and pain were behind her. Unfortunately, life has other ideas. The one person she needs, who understands what it’s like living in the shadow of Colton Harris’s death, is his twin brother, Hunter.

But stories don’t always end happily.

Leaving everything behind to follow her dreams, Jaymerson travels to Italy where she learns to stand her own feet, move on with her life, and open her heart to another. But nothing prepares her for watching Hunter’s career erupt on TV: his wins, his flings, the agony of him falling in love with another, and worst of all watching his world get shattered into pieces again.

When Jaymerson returns home and their paths cross, but they are no longer the same people, and the old animosity they used to feel for each other flares between them again. Especially when more secrets and truths are revealed, breaking everything they once had together.

Their undeniable chemistry continues to twine their lives together, even though it will only end in heartbreak and pain.

My Thoughts:

I read and LOVED the beginning of Jaymerson and Hunter's story in SHATTERED LOVE and I couldn't wait to get my hands on the next chapter of their lives. Their story continues in BROKEN LOVE, and it's a passionate and angst-filled journey. Just like the first book, my heart was racing from the tension even as we were crawling towards the 90% mark!!! Be prepared! Jaymerson and Hunter couldn't seem to catch a break. Just when it appeared as though happiness was within their grasp, something happened to snatch it away. Through every obstacle though, Jaymerson showed a great deal of growth, strength, and maturity. Even when she was faced with a hard decision that would break her own heart, she refused to settle or lose herself. I adored that about her. Hunter took longer to really grab hold and go for what he wanted and deserved, but with the support of Jayme and his loved ones he got there. I couldn't get enough of those two together. There was no denying their chemistry and love even when they were apart. They were connected. Overall, this was a heart pounding and engaging read. A wild ride of ups and downs. If you enjoy angsty new adult romance, I highly recommend the Blinded Love Series.
