New Contemporary Romance from Canadian Author, Helena Hunting!

The Good Luck Charm is a mix of humor, steam, and sweetness. It isn't my favourite novel by Hunting, but it's a mostly satisfying read. Second chance romance is one of my favourite tropes. I love when there's a bit of angst when the two characters cross paths for the first time, and when one party tries to earn the others trust and affections again. For me, main characters Lilah and Ethan didn't spend much time in these first stages. Ethan left her eight years ago and when he comes back, she gets with him again rather quickly. I found he didn't really have to work for her hard enough. She was a bit too much of a pushover for me and he could be selfish, so there were points where I really wasn't feeling either of them. Then at other times they grew on me. I thought they had amazing sexual chemistry and there we plenty of passionate moments and cute gestures shared between them. There was very minimal drama, and even then it didn't really come about until close to the end. That gave the overall story a very light-hearted and easy feel! I enjoyed that about the book. I think if you're on the hunt for something fun and flirty, The Good Luck Charm is one to keep in mind.

Synopsis:
