Review of Callie Henry's New YA Romance!
A Date for Hannah is New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery's first YA book written under the pen name Callie Henry. It's a short and sweet story, and a quick and easy read. Hannah and Liam meet at a wedding and quickly experience a connection. They bond, share their pasts, talk about love and family, and discuss the importance of second chances. I would have liked some expanding and further insight into both Liam and Hannah's fears and insecurities. I felt that they were only touched upon and the characters could have been developed further to understand their thoughts and feelings more. As Hannah and Liam get to know each other more throughout the evening, those butterflies fluttering in their bellys only increase, and they each begin trying to make sense of their growing feelings and where they want things to go once the wedding is over. If you or someone you know enjoys cute, drama free, and realistic teenage romance, check this one out. I'd personally recommend it to those in the 13+17 age bracket.
