Release Blitz w/ Review: FIXING HER by Miranda Elaine

Fixing Her is a cute read with very little angst. The content is pretty light and the story was easy to breeze through. It made for a nice quick, summer night read. Temperance was a hard working and kind heroine. She was insecure when it came to some areas of her life, but she was a super mom always putting her little girl first. I liked her, but I also found her frustrating; too hot and cold. I could understand her concerns to a degree, but as certain things were revealed I felt issues could have been avoided had she been honest and open sooner. Asher was pretty dreamy as far as heroes go. He's charming and sexy and willing to respect Tempie's need for space while also making it known he's not going far or giving up. He had one moment after the plot twist when he deserved a swift kick where the sun don't shine, but other than that I only saw him in a positive light. This was Miranda's first solo full length novel, and Fixing Her was a sweet story and a satisfying debut. I would be interested in reading her work in the future.

Blurb:

When we were younger, Temperance Price was the quiet girl with dreamy eyes who hung on my every word. She was always beautiful, but I had plans to get out of Red Oak and make a life of my own. Ten years later, a crushing tragedy has brought me home again—right back to her. The innocent girl I left is gone, and in her place is a sassy single mom I can’t get out of my head. She’s hired me to fix her house, but I have other things in mind. She thinks I’m just a handyman. She thinks we’re only friends. She thinks I’ve never noticed her. I think what really needs to be fixed is her whole perspective.

About the Author

Miranda is a loving wife and barely surviving mother of three occasionally good kids.

Her hobbies include lying to herself about the calories in donuts and banana pudding, as well as running out of excuses when procrastinating. She's been an avid reader since she was a young girl. Whether she's by the pool, curled up in bed, or hiding in the closet, as long as she has a book in her hands she’s happy.
