Review
An Imperfect Heart is the third and final book in this standalone series by Amie Knight. The writing is beautiful and heartfelt. The story, captivating and sweet. I adored both Kelly and Anthony. I connected to them on different levels, but the connection was deeper with Kelly. I understood her love, her desire to protect, and her fears when in came to the little life growing inside of her. Her situation hit close to home, and brought back memories and emotions I experienced during the time my first son was born. Her character was real, relatable, and easy to empathize with. Anthony was everything you could dream about. He was incredibly kind, loyal and supportive, and he treated Kelly with such care and devotion. He was an all around good man, and a great partner. They had great chemistry, and their banter added a little light humor to the story. There were an abundance of nicknames used by Anthony for Kelly (all short-girl pet names), I felt there were too many and they were used often. I’m not a huge ‘terms of endearment’ kind of person anyways, which is probably why I found it distracting. Other than that, their budding romance was a joy to watch grow and transform. They made for a great team and their tender moments warmed my heart. If you’re looking for a book that will take you on a touching journey, grab yourself a copy of An Imperfect Heart.
