Review: In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware
I wasn't overly fond of Nora- the unreliable narrator- or any of the side characters (other than Nina), they all got on my nerves at one time or another. What intrigued me and kept me hooked was the crime that took place within the group that hen weekend, and trying to figure out as the reader who did it and what was their motive. I didn't want to put the book down, I was sucked into the mystery. I had a few guesses as to 'who done it' as I read, but I was never dead set on one particular person, so the final reveal still held some shock value for me.
In a Dark, Dark Wood was an enjoyable novel. Not really a 'dark thriller' as I had expected, but a good crime-mystery!
