Review & Excerpt Tour: Wicked Torture by J. Kenner
Review
Wicked Torture is the third book in the Stark World series, but it can be read as a complete standalone. I was really looking forward to reading this novel since we had gotten little glimpses of Noah in the first couple of books and I wanted to know what his story was. His story turned out to be angsty, suspenseful, heartbreaking, sweet, and at times, a bit frustrating.
For the most part I enjoyed Wicked Torture. The main characters- Noah and Kiki- were likable, the storyline was interesting, and I really do love the second-chance romance troupe. However, I did find that the last few chapters had me frustrated and the ending was predictable. I felt as though Noah didn’t show any growth from his past and throughout the duration of the story. He repeated the very same mistake he made all those years ago. That aside, I still liked him and wanted him to get his happy ending.
Not my favorite book in the series but still an entertaining read.
