Blog Tour w/ Review: A Little too Late by Staci Hart

Review

Heartwarming and sweet. Staci completely sucked me into the story with her words, I couldn’t get enough!

Charlie is a single father of two small children. Nine months earlier his life fell apart when his wife betrayed him and selfishly abandoned their family. He was broken, and he threw himself even more into his work, spending less time with his children. The sudden departure of his current nanny has him scrambling to find another through the agency and once Hannah enters his home, something about her just feels right.

Hannah is an au pair from Holland and has only been in the United States for a short time. Her first experience in the country and as a nanny was not good, and she almost finds herself having to pack her bags to return home. But as luck would have it, the Parker family needs an immediate nanny and when Hannah meets Charlie and his children, she feels safe within the walls of their home. Charlie seems straight with his words, there are no lies behind his eyes, and Hannah’s instincts tell her she can trust him. So, when Charlie offers her the position of being his children’s nanny, she says yes without hesitation.

Hannah and Charlie connect easily, and they can both feel themselves toeing the line as their feelings begin to change from friendly to something more. I enjoyed the experience as the characters grew and developed throughout the story both individually and as a couple. Charlie wanted to be there more for his children and Hannah entering his life had given him the push he needed to make it happen. Their relationship was sweet, tender and sexy. I fell in love with them as they fell in love with each other.

A Little Too Late is filled with heart and emotion, I enjoyed losing myself within the pages for the few short hours it took me to finish the story. If you love ‘nanny romance’ or just a sweet story of two people finding love and the feeling of belonging, this is for you.
