Review: A Little Like Destiny by Lisa Suzanne

Steamy, engaging and angsty- I couldn’t flip the pages of A Little Like Destiny fast enough. This is the first book that I read by Lisa Suzanne and with that cliff-hanger ending, I’m itching to get my hands on part two as soon as possible! Reese had a one-night stand with Mark Ashton, a sexy Rockstar from the band Vail, who she’d been crushing on since her teenage years. But it wasn’t just your typical ONS. Reese felt a connection and that night meant something to her, so much so that memories and the feeling of Mark stayed with her long past their passionate encounter. Reese felt like she’d never get over her attraction and feelings for Mark. But then she ran into tall, dark and handsome business-man, Brian. As they embarked on a relationship she found that he made her happy, he turned her on and she slowly felt herself falling for him the more time they spent together. Mark slowly became a little more distant in her mind but never forgotten. That is, until she saw him again once she finally visited Brian’s house and met his ‘housemates.’ But Mark is not just Brian’s roommate, he’s his brother. Cue all the feels and the angst as Reese fought against her feelings, her morals and doing what she thought was right. She cared about Brian, but the more she saw Mark the more she realized that their connection is deeper, and real. My heart was hurting for all parties involved while reading about this love triangle. A little like Destiny was an addicting read and I’d have to declare that by the end I was #TeamMark! What will Reese’s next move be? Will Brian find out that Reese was with his brother before she met him? I can’t wait to devour Only Ever You, to see what choice’s will be made!!!
