My Review

Get your one-click trigger finger ready! Plight has everything you could want in a RomCom- heat, humour and heart! Golland had me smiling, swooning and laughing out loud.

Be prepared to fall in love with Elliot (aka Lots) and Danielle…and even Dudley the ‘bat-faced’ naughty pug! Elliot and Danielle were the best of friends many years ago, and a hilarious FB message and the reconstruction of a memorial garden brings them back together again.

Elliot is a lawyer and a very sweet, sexy, and smart ‘nerd’. I loved his extensive knowledge of animal mating habits and all the other random factoids he delivers throughout the novel. Danielle is equally as lovable, she is witty and fun and she has a wild little untrained pug that you can’t help but adore! Golland takes you on a fun journey as these two main characters rebuild the bond of friendship they had all those years ago, while also adding new feelings of love and romance. Elliot and Danielle have awesome chemistry, both as friends and lovers.

I devoured this novel in only a few hours. It was well-written and immensely entertaining. If you’re on the lookout for a lighthearted read, I urge you to pick up Plight!
