About the Author

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey.

From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

MY REVIEW

Paper Fools is a unique and creative story, although it did take me a little bit to get into it.

The concept is interesting enough. It’s almost like the Gods are on a game show and the humans are their pawns to be used in a challenge. One god’s mission is to create a love match out of Lex and Dean and the other god’s mission is to keep them apart. Who will triumph? Who will lose? What are the stakes? And what will happen with Lex and Dean?

The story does switch back and forth between the Gods and the humans and while the story of the Gods was interesting, I was hoping to get a bit more from Dean and Lex. I think at times I felt like there were just a few too many characters, so some of the connection I was craving between Lex and Dean felt lost.

Overall, an enjoyable read. I recommend this to you if you’re into the ‘Greek mythology meets the modern world’ type of story!
