Review: The Missing One by Liz Lovelock
The Missing One is part two of the Lost series and it picks up right where book one left off. It’s a very quick and easy read. Most of this novel is told in Abby’s POV (the sister who was thought dead but- surprise- she’s alive), and it is told in present time as well as three years in the past. We find out more about Abby’s abusive ex and their relationship, and we also find out how Blake enters her life and how he’s tied to Jacob. Like in book one, the insta-love romance between the main characters was just too instantaneous for me- I didn’t feel their spark. Abby meets Blake and they feel an immediate connection. Basically from that moment on they have feelings for each other and they only grow from there. So, for me, the romance part of the story didn’t click, but I did enjoy the mystery part of the plot. A fast-paced and suspenseful read with a little kick of action. All loose ends were tied and all questions that remained at the end of part one have been answered. Overall, a satisfying conclusion to the duet.
