MY REVIEW

After all the games and sexual tension in book one, and that heart stopping cliff-hanger ending, I needed to read book two ASAP! Well, I was not disappointed! There were moments of happiness, joy, anger and angst but overall, This is Love simply warmed my heart. In This is War I went from kind of liking Travis, to wanting to kick his nuts, to liking him well enough and finally loving him in book two. He really went all in with Viola and was so sweet and swoon worthy. The chemistry between the two was just as blazing hot as book one and even though they were now happily together- in secret- they still had that funny banter that I loved in book one. The conclusion to the duet was excellent and by the end I had a huge grin on my face. I would most definitely recommend The Checkmate Duet if you love enemies to lovers stories! I cannot wait to read Drew and Courtney's story in Checkmate: This is Reckless!
