MY REVIEW

I was so excited for this one but it just fell a little short of my expectations. Torch is an MC romance and INSTA-love story. I don’t mind insta-love storylines, in fact, sometimes I love them. But for me to love such novels, the characters must have a spark, an immediate real connection and chemistry that jumps from the pages- something that I can believe. Unfortunately, (and this is just MY opinion) Torch and Kayla did not have this. To me their initial meet and “connection”- and entire relationship- felt all to rushed.

I still gave this a three-star rating because even though I wasn’t invested in the romance, I did like the characters as individuals- both main and secondary. Torch was your typical MC hottie, he was tough, protective and loyal. Kayla was strong, feisty and funny- I loved that she always threatened people with her taser lol.

I really wanted to love this book and I’m sure there are many people who will, but I just wasn’t captivated by it and the romance fell flat. Again, this is my personal opinion, so check it out for yourself.
