An accidental meeting...

The overwhelming urge to draw closer

I knew it was wrong.

MY REVIEW

On the Rocks was another quick read that I was able to finish in just one sitting. I enjoyed the bit of suspense and drama, but the romance did not quite meet my expectations.

First of all, if you don’t like cheating in books AT ALL, not even a one-time thing, then this isn’t the story for you. I don’t read many books with cheating in them. I’m not offended or turned off by it; it’s just not really my thing. But I must say it didn’t bother me in this story one little bit. Reese’s husband was a total asshat who deserved a swift kick to the nuts! Seriously, I wanted to throat punch him!

What didn’t work for me in regards to Reese and Gage’s relationship was the fact that it did not feel developed enough for me to invest in it. I felt that their romance was built more on their sexual connection rather than on their emotional connection. I could feel the desire, passion and heat between them, but I couldn’t feel the love. I needed more in the emotion department.

I would still encourage you to read the book; it had a good story behind it. Sadly, I just didn’t feel the love connection.
